Most states it is six months or after your 18th birthday, which ever comes first.

yeah thats what it was for me...I live in CT though. I'd check your state's website or something.

Depends on the state... Here in AL, you get a permit at 15.5 and then can get a license at 16! Much too young IMO! Kids dont need to be driving at that age.

here (at age 15 min) its 1 year you have to be driving with a permit and then you can get a license, but also if youre 18 just take the test and youre good to go

In minnesota it's learners permit at 15, then you have to have your permit for six months, and once you're 16 you're eligible for your license.

For Illinois it's so many hours. Like 100 with your parents or something.

Here in Cali it's 6 months, mainly because the permit only lasts for 6 months. The adult permit (after age 18) lasts a year.

In Arkansas you can drive if you can reach the steering wheel.
