What would be a good starter car for me? I really don't want anything older than a 1998 and cost would be around 2 grand. I was looking at Dodge Neon, Chevy Cavalier, Ford Focus Hatchback, Honda Civic Hatchback. I would really like a Mitsubishi Eclipse. Don't have the money yet but would like to get a good idea. Keep in mind I'm 16 and I would like to fit 4 15" subs and 2 2000 watt amps in it.

You are not going to be able to find a 1998 or newer for $2000 unless something is wrong with it or it has a really massive number of miles on it like 250,000. So you should raise you budget or start looking at older cars.

Whoa there. Save your money from the subwoofers and amps and put it towards the car. I HIGHLY doubt you'll fit 4 15's properly in a compact car.

What brand subs and amps are they... im curious.

And i doubt youll be able to efficiently fit 4 15s in a small car. And if you did it would sound like ass. ANy ways, i would look into honda, acura, mitsubishi and mazda for used cars in you budget. They are all great cars and will be worth what you pay for them. Most diomestic cars are total junk now days, quite sad really.

I may just go with a Chevy Blazer 1995 model. Lower it 3" and put 20" rims on it. Later to come would be the amps and the stereo then comes lambo front doors with suicide rear doors!

I think that $20,000 of audio of equipment should deserve something more than a $2000 car.

WTF? It's a CHEVY BLAZER a ten year old one at that. It's not gonna be the "fabluss 'Lade" you keep seeing in DUB magazine. If you lower it and put dubs lambos and suicides on it people are going to make fun of you especially if you're a sixteen year old white kid.

Basically, you're going to have wannabe gangster rice. BAD IDEA.

$20,000 LOL. I'd be surprised if that even breaks the $2000 mark.

Seriously, audiobahn is crapola. You'll be lucky if those amps push even CLOSE to their specified RMS. And the sound quality of those subs is trash.

Yeah right those amps have dual voice coils with 360 ounce magnets. They are compitition speakers I'm going for loudness. See I used to live in daytona beach and they had the speaker fest that is know all over the world and I walked around and listen to see what was the best!

Ok do what you want with your audio, but don't ever drop a blazer three inches and buy 20 inch rims that cost more then that blazer.

Does no one notice that is the dumbest idea ever? Don't buy things that make the rest of the car look like a POS, Ok I could see dropping it and putting some decent sized rims to give it a nicer look, but not 20's that cost more then the car itself.

You are gonna look like a retard on meth driving around like that. PERIOD.
Don't buy a whole bunch of **** first go and get some stuff and work out. Just because you heard something once at daytona doesnt mean its always gonna be good. If you are the only one that says they are good that that says something there. Although I dont know anything about these subs maybe you should read some reviews. These get sold at my local VideoMax that rent videos and they sell em cheap as hell.

LOL AMPS with Voice coils! WOW!! never heard of that before! Magnets too! Man these amps must be crazy!

Mhmm, I see. Well, you obviously were pointed in the wrong direction when you went to the speaker fest. I'm not trying to hate on you or anything, but don't try to act like you know what competition grade is when you have no clue. And Audiobahn is going bankrupt, so much for high-quality competition grade stuff, huh?

Are you actually going to be listening to your speakers on a daily basis or are they strictly for competition purpose only?

Man O Man lol i had those audiobahns awhile ago there were really good but overpriced. My system is setup for comp complete comp trying to take the title from a guy that has had it for 11 years running with his 6 cerwin vega strokers in a Astro got my jeep got my MAAudio Kore 18's very crappy SQ but im going for SPL and those subs are oh k i've had 2 of those exact subs they are very very good but are overpriced if you want loudness get the msot airspace BASS is all about moving air to make bass you have to move air like i know a kicker 15 would sound jsut as good as my 18 because it has the same amount of surface area to move air learn about it before you jump all in it. and tell you the truth blazers arent that great here i'll show u my old blazer that i had fixed up, i hated it when it came down to it but i was so hooked on it because of the money i spent into it untell i joined the army and i got my BRAND NEW 07 Grand Cherokee SRT8 but i have the moeny to put into it as i really have no bills military takes care of me :) (served my dues in iraq and its total H!!!) well if you need help selecting a system PM me been doing this for awhile and i can help you select a car and at 16 a SUV is the wrong way to go, if gas doesnt kick ur A** then the insurance sure will. you dont need 4 15's anyway unless your planning on competive competions like im doing and in that case, your system would so get beat i barely hang even with 4 18's which my 18's have a peak of 10,000 watts each, i have around 8000 watts going to each and even then my DB is only around 158.3 which is loud enough to win as the guy i want to beat gets a 153 every year. dont build a system cause u want bragging rights your system will get stolen faster then you can say i got a system. And if you really try to do more then your doing your going to have to replace your windows with plexiglass or BP glass. which is my next thing to do. wanting to put 2 more 18's in it. i already have 4 18's and 8 amps 4 battierys and 4 caps trust me bragging rights aint all that i ahve about 5k of audio in my jeep, and before u put a system in a car, u need a SECURITY SYSTEM ran into that mistake with my audiobahns exactly to the ones ur wanting.

10,000 watt 18"s? I dont believe you... Oh and where did you hide the large generator to power these "mega" subs of yours? And you only spent 5k on all of this? Some how i dont belive you! 5 grand is nothing at all.... i could spend 5 grand on a system and get 1/4 of what you claim to have....

And by the way, Audiobahns are total junk! Even their top model isnt much to look at or definately not listen to.... I have yet to hear much of anything good about them.

I'm not an audiophile, but I think that the fact that the 10,000 is peak wattage has something to do with it.

Esteem is definitely the most popular car...But then again D swift...I think is better!...Good pickup, Stable n stuff! Swift as far as I know is the only car being used by Maruti.Sz in the WRC ...N it has proved extremely efficient placing 1st,3rd N 6th position in the Sweden Qualifying rounds....P.

I don't understand how the spam bots work, but I would have to think you'd be able to see the IP that this guy is registering from, yes or no? Or is he using an IP replicator or proxy? Can't we ban this IP from making new nicknames?

Here's the simple truth. You CAN find great deals, especially on Craigslist. BUT, you have to be patient and you have to go and look at the car for like an hour, drive it around the block a few times, and be damn sure the owner has receipts for maintenance. If he has no receipts for the maintenance, either he is lying about what has been replaced, or he has never put any money into it. Cars require constant care, so be sure you know already what has been replaced/fixed and have a mechanic look the car over and run a few diagnostics to see if anything is wrong with it.

Next, save your pennies. Don't bother putting "beat in yo trunk" and spending $1000 on subs and an amp. Put that into buying the vehicle itself. It's your first car, and I doubt you have a full time job that pays well enough to support a pimp'd ride. Buy your first car like it's the only car you will ever own. Look for the best deal on something reliable. Do NOT get a Ford sedan or compact car of any model. SO many things go wrong with them. Go for a car that will last you. Go for a Toyota Camry or Honda Accord. A used one older than 1998 will cost you at least $3,000 for a decent one. Save up and be patient. Don't rush into getting a car with only $2k. I made that mistake of buying a car recently for $1,000 and it has been giving me trouble from the start. It wasn't too bad at first, but now there's something new every week and I've only had this 1989 Taurus for like 2 months.

Don't go with Ford. Ever.
