my stereo and lights have gone off

my mate was cleanin my spark plugs for me the other day in the rain... and i was inside the car, took out my stereo sorted my radio out and put it back in, next thing it goes off... and my clock and interior lights wont come now and my stereo doesnt either.

his theory is, ive short circuited the electronics or something.

i need my stereo back on!

any help?

Blew a fuse? Have you loosened a connection? Check all fuses and connections. Also under the hood there may be a fuze box, typically passenger side behind the whell on the fire wall there is a fuze box, check to see none of them are blown.

Firewall is a big block of treated metal to keep heat from getting into the cabin of the car Made to with stand sevral hundred degrees of heat. or better (I.E if your car were to catch fire keeps it detained in the engine compartment.)
