Default Does this seem like a solid build?

I am about to pull the trigger on a new sub woofer and amp system. I was wondering if anyone with more market experience than me can offer their opinion. I will post links and prices to each part I am interested in. If anyone can offer a better part in the same price range then please by all mean do so. Thanks again guys.

My sub: I have always like the Pioneer Premier line. I owned a pair a few years back and I loved them so I went in search of them again. $150.00
Pioneer Premier TS-W3002D2 Component Car Subwoofers at Onlinecarstereo.com
My Amp: I wasnt to sure what amp to buy but I wanted it to be 1 ohm stable and at least 1000 watts. MTX is a good brand so I went with them as they had a good amp to offer in my budget. $270.00
MTX RFL1200D Class D Amplifiers at Onlinecarstereo.com
Capacitor: I dont know what makes one better than another so help me out here. $65.00
Diesel Audio NS-4CAP Capacitors at Onlinecarstereo.com
Wiring kit: Just a RF 4awg wiring kit. I know Rockford is a great brand sooo I went with that for peace of mind. $70.00

Thanks again fellas.

Hmm TYVM for the reply and effort in adding links and multiple choices. Of the amps I am interested in the 1000w 1ohm stable Soundstream. But none of those subs seem to be able to handle 1000w RMS. I am looking for power. I want to rattle the windows on my house from a block away so to speak. The box I am making will be tuned to about 29Hz or around there. I loowwww powerful base. Can I get some more feedback please? I am just worried about blowing subs from to much power. Thanks again guys

I'm going to beg you now to NOT do that. People who blast their base not only risk going deaf at a very young age, but they piss everyone off that they drive by. Piss off the wrong person and they will mess up your car while you sleep.

29hz is gonna suck lol.
I've had 2 boxes, 1 for a 12, and 1 for a 15 (not at same time), and wouldn't play anything above 40

Honestly I wasnt completely serious. I was trying to give an example of what Im looking for. I live in a very small town and I get along with the ppl here. I respect them and really do not want to annoy any one. None the less I want this to be loud cause I like loud deep bass. Suggestions?

Its all in the box buddy.

-----------------------------------------------------------------
29hz is a bit low, but certainly not unheard of. I have built a few boxes that were tuned lower, but your really getting into some tricky stuff that low. The sub and amp really need to be in unison to pull it off right. What i mean by that is you need ample power, that is also CLEAN. An unclipped signal is vital. Secondly you need a stout sub. Lots of linearity (xmax) and good power handling with a high(er) Qts and Bl value.

Yes you are right that the amps i linked are much bigger than needed. But thats a good thing. You can tune the amp to run at a much lower output as to not over power the sub. Its better to have too much than too little. And the fact of the matter is that its actually much harder to blow a speaker from too much power than you think. The most commonly blown speakers are blown from poor signal quality, a clipped signal from a bad tune, or an idiot at the controls.

Stick with that Soundstream amp, but up your budget by about $100-150 and we can get you a great sub to match it. The quality of sound, and amount of output is all gonna depend on the box design. I cant stress this part enough to people. Its really not what you have, but how you build it.

Given we have a nice sub and amp, for a 12" sub, i would expect to build a box around 2-2.2 cu/ft corrected. That 2-2.2 cu/ft, PLUS the volume of the port AND the sub its self. So all in all it will be close to 2.5-2.75 cu/ft. For reference, thats bigger than most of the dual 12" sub boxes found at places like bestbuy. Have the room for this in your trunk?

Better subs:
TC SOUNDS Epic - $193
http://www.parts-express.com/pe/show...number=293-650

FI BL - $285+
https://ssl.perfora.net/www.ficaraud...iew.shopscript

Incriminator audio death row - $318
http://www.soundsolutionsaudio.com/s...ow-Series.html

Ascendant audio chaos
http://www.ascendantaudio.com/chaos.php

Take your pick! They are all stout subs, and like i mentioned, tune and build that box right, and it will rattle your car to pieces.
