Default 03 vw jetta gl 2.0l po420 code

i had po420 code on my 03 vw jetta gl --iput in aftermarket cat converter & rear o2 sensor but code came back on--do you have to use vw parts to fix problem--help please

You might need to reset your cars cpu, usually there is a special method of turning the ignition key a certain way to erase the memory so the codes will go away. If that doesn't work, I've heard that sometimes you can buy a spark plug non-fouler and put it between the o2 sensor and the hole it is supposed to go in (This method tricks the sensor into thinking the catalytic converter is working as it should):
