Default Cassette to Mp3 Adapter

Ok this is for my 96 Explorer. I bought a Cassette to Mp3 converter for my car so i play my ipod and such. But i have a problem the audio only comes thorugh one side of my speakers

When i listen to the radio is plays through both sides

I bought one before this one, did the same it stolen...tried my brothers...did the same thing....bought another one did the same thing. It does it with any Mp3 player.

Why am i getting only mono?

Have you tried playing a standard cassette through your head unit? It sounds like a wiring issue, you may have to buy a new head unit.
