Sorry to hear that our site blows...
But to answer your questions(s), you were kinda vague. There are thousands of 4ch amps out there. Which one is right for you is something you have to narrow down by what features you want. Most people arent audiophiles, which narrows things down alot, most people go for the cheaper stuff, so if thats your case, i would only recommend sticking with the bigger brand names you know of. Kicker, JBL, JL, Rockford...etc As for diagnosing the amp, what does it do when you try and play music? Does the power light come on? Does it play then suddenly shut off? Popping noise? There are alot of variables... We need input.

Well, the site doesn't blow. the site is fine. We just need more members. there aren't a lot of active members here, because a lot of people go to model specific forums. I'm also a member of swedespeed.

sorry if that offended anyone, My sarcastic jokeing nature hardly translates well through Forums.
Deffinitely am not an Audiophile per say but I like quality an high Volume. as mentioned I run only the internals 2 Polk DB650 6 1/2 •polymer/mica composite woofer with butyl rubber surround •liquid-cooled, silk/polymer composite 3/4" dome tweeter •certified for marine use •2-way crossover network •recommended power range: 6-60 watts RMS •peak power handling: 180 watts •frequency response: 40-22,000 Hz •sensitivity: 92 dB and 2 x Polk DB690 6x9's •3-way 6"x9" speakers (pair) •polymer/mica composite woofer with butyl rubber surround •1" silk/polymer composite midrange driver and 3/4" liquid-cooled, silk/polymer composite dome tweeter •certified for marine use •2-way crossover network •recommended power range: 10-100 watts RMS •peak power handling: 300 watts •frequency response: 35-22,000 Hz •sensitivity: 93 dB AMP info Infinity Reference 7540a •4-channel car amplifier •111 watts RMS x 4 at 4 ohms (139 watts RMS x 4 at 2 ohms) •278 watts RMS x 2 at 4 ohms in bridged mode (4-ohm stable in bridged mode) •2-, 3-, or 4-channel output •variable high-/low-pass filters (32-320 Hz, 12 dB/octave) •variable Bass EQ (0-12 dB @ 50 Hz) Unfortunatley I know very little about it all. The AMP just does not appear to power up anymore, Head Unit seems to run just fine, however I have removed the face plate for a while, its a Pioneer, very old, the last of the Full Color Animated Screens with Motorized Faceplate. Worked very well before the amp died, other than the fact the the motor doesnt work very well lol, open JUST enough to let the CD out Basically Im looking for a proper replacement of the Infinity, it all sounded really great together and Id like ot have that quality back =-) Also, I have checked, Fuses are all good still.

If the amp isnt functioning at all, i would blame that first. If it wont even power on even after you have checked the fuses, the only other thing to try is bridge the remote wire and +12v at the amp to see if it turns on. Likely it wont, but still worth a quick check.
If you were happy with you Infinity, then i would consider some of these... You dont have to buy from here, just showing you some options. would the ones with the 50 x 4 RMS be too little power?
Im actually looking for a way to cut costs as much as I can without losing too much quality. Amp has been dead for over 3 years now and Have not had the extra cash to gert a new one. =/ that first one, the Cadence one looks real nice
