Default What is the best DVDR disc to use in 2008 Escalade Navigation DVD system?

I am looking to burn a MP3 cds for my car. CD-Rs works fine. I was told that I can use DVD-Rs to burn MP3 dvds as well. (Get more music on one disk). Is there a specific brand of DVDs I can use that will work. I tired TDK and memorex. No luck. I am using the latest Roxio Software.

Further Google research says the poll is wrong.

IE: You can't use DVD's as data discs to play MP3 files.

On the MP3 cd. How come some of the names are not recognizable. Bunch of characters. And every time I hit folder it scans. Any ideas.

Are there any special characters in the names of the songs? Most, if not all, heads can't read special characters.

For example; , ń, etc.

I have heard people say they love the Taiyo Yuden brand, but personally I try to buy Verbatim brand, I have never had a bad disc in cd or dvds and I have burned several hundred dvd's.

You asked for brands, I have not tried to burn a music dvd, although I might try it for fun.

I picked up one of these Car MP3 Players, 4 in 1 Car MP3 Player with FM Transmitters Car Charger Card Reader | Meritline.com so that I don't have to mess with cd's anymore.

I was thinking about a FM transmitter but I just don't want to have to plug something into my lighter.

Maybe a better solution would be one of those ipod/iphone kits you could install and place the ipod the arm rest and be able to control it through the radio. That would be cool. Anyone tried that?
