Smile Amp for speaker?

Hello!

I got a questions and hope some of you guys can help me?
I bought some boss speakers for a while ago to my car and have installed them in my car. My cd-player is a 35watts player and my speakers are on 350watts (Speakers: SK653 | Boss Audio Systems ) and I want to upgrade to a bigger amp, but i'm very new to carstero. I randomly came over a amp on a action site and bought it, it has never been used and is a boss cxx1002 ( CXX1002 | Boss Audio Systems ) and I was wondering, can i use this amp on my speakers?

Thanks!

I don't see why not. It should work just fine.

According to the manual, it's pushing 175W per channel at 4 ohm load. Your speakers have no immediate danger of failing.

Oh, oki I thought it was 500W each channel?.. or is it only when I use it to a sub? and 1000W when i bridge it? But will I notice a big difference on the speakers?
And is it maybe a bit overkill to use this amp on only 2 speakers?

the speakers only handle 87.5 watts RMS each. However the amp is probably rated at 24-28 volts knowing boss so in reality they are probably close to a dead nuts match either way.

Here is a nice thread we recently went through on amps and speakers for another member. New speakers and a sub

Good catch.

Boss SK653 6-1/2" 3-Way Phantom Skull Coaxial Car Audio Speakers

175W per pair. Wow, talk about atrocious marketing.
