Default 2002 Hyundai Sonata and Pioneer DEH-X5500HD

Is there anything I need to look out for? Replace fuses (in the fuse box) with larger ones? Complex wiring? Etc.

Got the wife to agree on buying one through Crutchfield, all required gear included, so I'm just looking to get a better picture.

Also, the car has the stock speakers still installed... Anybody have the slightest clue what the threshold is before they blow, if at all?

I just bought these;

Pioneer DEH-X5500HD CD receiver at Crutchfield.com

Posi-Products™ Car Stereo Connectors 16 connectors for installing a new car stereo at Crutchfield.com

American International HYN-K1118 In-dash Receiver Kit Fits select 2001-07 Hyundai vehicles — single-DIN radios at Crutchfield.com

Receiver Wire Harness For select 2000-08 Hyundai and Kia vehicles at Crutchfield.com

I'll probably make a video, or take lots of pics. Either way, I'll try to document it as best I can.

Nice headunit, I have a Pioneer in my truck and love it. It shouldn't be to bad replacing it. Good luck.

I just looked at the Crutchfield Master Sheet... I have to hack away a support bar. Oh well. I got spoiled with my MP3 support readily available in the car. Plus, this has USB and AUX input. It's a win all the way around.

I received the deck yesterday. Gonna go buy a hacksaw tonight to cut out that bar. And, I wired up the harnesses together.

The old lady and I are gonna install it together. It's something we're trying to get out of a rough patch we're having.
