Default Sound system advice needed (Novice)

Hey guys, I got myself a nice headunit it says it puts out an additional 50 amps per channel but the wires are VERY thin, like stanard toothpick size, that worries me. I have it hooked up right now to my standard car speakers but it just doesnt have any real bass to it, so I bought a Cadence 1800 Watt Amp along with a 10inch subwoofer that I had laying around. I put it in a 500mm*500mm box of 12mm pine, empty, and no port.

I hooked up the amp to the sub and the speakers are running off the head unit. Now it sounds much better, I had alot of base when I want it (as it has aolume control on the amp) but I'm wanting to get better speakers in the doors, as its a battle between too much bass, that sometimes doesnt sound right, and the high pitch vocals from the door speakers peircing my ears.

So I'm after some nice door speakers 2 front, and 2 in the parcel shelf at the back.

I went into Auto Barn today and the guy there said getting to 4 or 6 inch speakers in the front door, and 2x 6"*9" speakers in the back is the best setup for overall sound, is that what I should get? All of my current speakers are inside my door panels, which are plastic, and have a mesh-like port for the sound which are all 4" so I would need to do some cutting.

How would I hook up the amp to my head unit to my 5 speakers? I wish I could remember what my head unit was, It was around $500, I just moved so I threw alot of the boxes away. It's a great quality one.

I's my Amp powerfull enough to run all 5 speakers?

i would need some information first, are you saying that you want the amplifier to run both the subs and the highs in your doors? How many channels is the amplifier?

Turns out I was wrong about the amp.

So this is how I have it wired. My headunit is a Alpine CDA-117E and my Amp is a Cadence F700-1.

I bought 4x Kenwood 3 way 6" Speakers at 35W RMS, to replace my door speakers. I've kept all my stock wiring inside my doors.

I have the Alpine headunit going to my door speakers, and my amp, which is only hooked up to a single 10" sub at the moment.

I want to get two matching new 10" subs, so I need to look for 2x 600RMS subs right? If I wire them in series will it be 600W RMS @ 1 Ohm? I really do not know much about the Ohms and stuff other than the less restistance the more sound/power.

I've added links to my parts so you guys can take a look at them and recommed some good subs, or what specs on the subs I should search for.

Anything else you need to know just ask away!

Your amp is a mono block with 1 channel running 2 subs on that amp is not good for it. As for a 1 sub solution and depending on your budget top of the line? JL W7 orion hcca on the cheap side Power Acoustik MOFO or (FUBAR if you can fine one) Boss Phantom Series. What size are the opening in your doors and deck?

Wrong, how many speakers you run per channel means nothing. Ohms law. Study it, and understand it. Your welcome.
