Default Mutant sub and head unit peugout 206

The sub is mutant and head unit but the problem is fitting it. Its a 300w sub with an amp 2 channel with freq and gain dials on it and RCA inputs, etc.
The big fat wire goes to the battery with the fuse but as its positive surely that goes on last?>?
The big fat black wire goes to boot floor for good ground to bare metal contact.
The back of head unit below has orange subwoofer single socket set of four red and white input sockets REAR AND LINE IN and a single blue wire with amp on it and big fuse and then the connecters with external pins which are for the rest of the car speakers and ignition. The car speakers arent being amped.
The thin blue wire from the bass box goes into the head unit to turn the box on to the remote outputs of the head unit and then to the REM terminal on bass baox this switches it on but where is remote outputs on head unit confused does this have something to do with the little blue wire with amp on it from head unit.
RCA cables go into the head unit phono feed where is the phono feed sockets?>

Then RCA cables go to the RCA inputs on bass unit.

What do the freq and gain controls do??

Frequency and Gain control what frequency levels your sub plays at, etc.

This guide is fairly advanced, and makes it seem much more complicated than it really is, but it should help.

Which wires are you still confused about?
