Default Need a pair of 5.25 speakers...which ones?

As soon as I sell the speakers I'd advertising on here (hint hint lol) I'm buying a set of 5.25in speakers - my max budget is $50. Would you guys recommend these?

And would you say those are better than the ones I posted? Even though the Alpines are only 2-way, compared to 3-way?

I would say the Alpine are probably some of the best for that low budget. The 3,4,5+ way is just a gimmick. Stick with 2 way and you will get the best sound. Or, if you were to invest more money later on down the road, go with component speakers.

10 extra dollars and you can get these bad boys http://www.crutchfield.com/p_108527I...Infinity&tp=97 though I would also recommend component speakers but for the price the Infinity speakers are very good (I had them myself, very loud and clear, if you get them use the crossover you get with them )

Yeah speakers are something you dont really want to cheap out on. Because the sound quality will be bad and you will be asking yourself why oh why did you spend $50 on them. If I were you I would save up. But thats just my opinion.

Ditto on the alpines! For budget speakers they are hard to beat!

Has the Quality on alpine speakers came up that much? I havn't built a system in 6 years but I loved alpines headunits and amps just not the speakers I always used infinity refrences the Kappa's were real harsh sounding back then.
