Default Speaker replacements

I'm picking up a set of speakers (front and rear) to replace my stockers that I apparently blew (I lost all the bass, and can't hear anything out of my left side)

My question is. My speakers front and rear are both 6x8, but I'm looking at a set of 5 1/4" speakers. Why? I need something that will tide me over until the car is gone. will these still sound ok? their kenwoods. http://www.crutchfield.com/p_113KFC1...KFC-1362S.html

2nd question: how hard is it to get the door panels off, and I'm assuming to do the rears I have to remove my back seats (I kind of want them out permanently, but have people in the back quite often.

Get yourself these instead: http://cgi.ebay.com/JBL-GTO8628-6-x8...item439fa05737

I have the 6.5" versions in my F-150 and they sound incredible, the difference is totally worth it. Why buy what you need twice.

If you are on a budget, these are actually the same speakers for $30:

I might.

Also. - I might be keeping the focus longer than I thought (I might not be moving until Feb at the earliest). would MDF be ok to use a floor for my trunk? all my focus has is some carpet with some sort of hard liner that still bends.. I'll probably be buying a sub now too down the road.

a guy on a focus forum did

which would work great for me, but I'd make mine non-removable since theres nothing under there. This paycheck might just go to buying everything to wire my car and get it ready. worse comes to worse I loose 75 bucks.

I have a spare tire well to deal with. just no spare tire.

when I get cables (ordering tomorrow) I'm probably going to gut my trunk totally. Need to pull my strut bar. too, plus caulk the holes up some..

I blew the speakers in the Jeep, so I bought a sub. Turned the other speakers into tweeters. Cheaper, and sound excellent!

Don't do that crap. Put a spare TIRE in the spare tire spot.

What is the world coming to?

*raises hand* I, for one, do have a spare tire. And it's a full size spare tire. And it's underneath my truck.

Makes for an excellent spare key hiding spot too...
