Default first system.....advice???

ok fellas,i traded my iphone 3g 8gb (dont have at&t anymore ad just plain got sick of it) for a pioneer deh-515 head unit, 2 6x9 eclipse's, 2 6.5's(dont know the brand all they say is made in germany) , a rockford fosgate 100hd amp, and a kicker 10" marine sub. all of this is put in my 96 grand prix. i know this is all very old equipment but i wanted a system and this was a good trade imo. now i have the 6x9's and 6.5's wired to the head unit and the sub wired to the amp. the amp is in 4 channel mode, if i switch the channel switch to 2 channel i get no response from the sub(can i bridge this for more power?), i was wondering any opinions, comments, or advice on what i can do to make this setup any better.

oh and i have a problem with this setup, and that is that i get alot of voice, mids, and highs out of my sub, from what ive read i need a low pass crossover ive seen inline crossovers online for 30 bucks but im literally flat broke, ive seen electronic crossovers for as much as new more powerful amps with low pass built in. is there anything i can do without spending money to eliminate the voice and get only bass out of my sub?

Does your headunit have a designated sub output? I can't seem to find any specs for your head unit.

Yes, you need a crossover. You can build them yourself too for cheap if you can solder.

System Configuration This may help.

Note that the filters I've described in that post are quick-n-dirty 6dB/octave jobs - (hopefully) the units more in the $30 range have an extra 40c in parts and hour's design work to get a steeper slope out of them.
