Default [J] The last Ford Crown Victoria ever built

Its pretty darn sad IMHO. First time Ford has been without a V8 powered sedan in nearly 80 years. Their only rear wheel drive Ford left is the Mustang...

RIP LTD/Crown Victoria nameplate (1955 - 2011), the Panther platform (1979-2011), the full size V8 Ford (1932 - 2011), and the ladder frame American car (1898-2011).

I knew this day was coming. I could feel it in my bones.

This now marks the nearly full elimination of the average man's RWD sedan. We have BMW and Mercedes left, but for how long?

The FWD jobby's are now in full control. I even have one in my driveway right now.

Don't be so Dramatic GM has multiple rear wheel drive platforms with I suspect more to come. Even Hyundai has a few now &Kia has one they are working on.

Its the last classic American RWD body on frame V8 sedan.

You can no longer buy a Ford sedan with a V8, so in that way the working man's standard V8 car is dead. Its not like 40 years ago when everyone drove body on frame V8 sedans... its too bad.

Agreed. The G8 was just like an appetizer, we need the main dish of the Caprice.

I'm excited. Our city would likely get at least one PPV (Caprice). We may stick with the Tahoe's, due to comfort and space, but the caprices might prove to be more versatile in town. Better cornering, acceleration, braking (less weight), etc.

You guys have Tahoes right now? Thats pretty cool. I still think this makes the coolest real Police Truck:

Coolest Police Truck ever is this: (I drool hardcore everytime I see the movie, and I am always devastated at the end)
