Default [Motor Authority] BMW Hand Gesture feature

Hand Gesture Control coming out next year.

This is in addition to the voice commands, touchscreen controls, central dial, and steering wheel buttons.

Gesture Control doesn't let you control the whole infotainment system. Instead it can recognize six preprogrammed gestures to accomplish a few select tasks. The gestures need to be made above the iDrive dial so a 3D sensor mounted above can recognize them.

"Volume can be adjusted by circular motions of the index finger." I don't see how that's any better than using volume knob or button
