Just an update, got a motor, did the head gasket, removed the stupid rear battery setup for now, painted it, got new rear tires, put the new motor in, welded diff is now in, just need to re-time it and fire it up.

What muffler? Haha, there's no insert on it.

Before I sold my 93 240 vert' I had to mess with the timing to get it to start after a head gasket replacement. Turns out it's a lot harder to get right than I thought, even with the shop manual in your hands.

Oh, and who knew camshafts were so easy to snap in half? Careful with your DE's exhaust cam if you ever do any work inside the head. I swear I wasn't that rough with it.

Timing's about good, may be a tooth off, compression is 100-120, 130k on motor, huh, never had any issues with the cams, tightening down in proper sequence helps prevent it from breaking
It's flooding like none other though, lol. Gonna check more vacum lines, make sure return line isn't clogged, and check the fpr.

The funny things is I wasn't tightening the cam down when it broke, I was lifting straight up and out with it after the bearing caps had all been removed.

It just went pop and it was all downhill from there.
