Yeah when I get a 240sx I'm debating on swapping in a VQ in it. The funny thing is is that I get on average 26mpg with my altima and my sentra got less than 23mpg with its QR. XD

In the end an SR swap is better overall than a VQ swap. If you go anything other than SR or RB, an LS swap is going to be the lowest cost if you can fab your own parts. You also have a crazy member on this very board doing an LS swap into his S13. You could always ask him any questions about his build and/or any problems he ran into.

Why? It's a Nissan Altima.

One small word of advice from someone with too many cars to list. Keep the DD stock and pour the money into a fun car. It always seems to work out better that way.

Here's some recent pics after I detailed the interior and the exterior:

Been super busy lately so I have not had a chance to post this. This summer I upgraded my audio system. Got a pioneer bluetooth headunit, alpine 6.5" component front speakers, a 12" Rockford fosgate 300 watt sub and a jensen amp. (does the job for now) As you can see I completely gutted the interior and ran the amp under the passenger seat for super stealthiness. All together the entire system set me back about $350 (including sound deadening and a proper hookup kit.)

I also just got new rotors and pads + hardware. Just waiting for the weather to allow me to install them. >.>

Payed $300 for the whole set. Brembo Rotors and StopTech Pads.

Oh wow, it's been a while since I posted on here :P

I have done quite a bit to the trusty Altima, clocked 160k on the odometer last week.
-Changed the valve cover gaskets and the camshaft sensors. (Oil was leaking into the connectors for the camshaft sensors, causing the car to stall randomly )
-I replaced the Shocks / Struts in October with KYB Excel-G's and got 2 used rear tires.
-Did a power steering flush since the PSF was black >.<
-Replaced the outer tie rod ends, got new front tires (NEXEN CP672's) and got an alignment done.

All I need to do now is replace the oil pan gasket, transmission pan gasket and flush the trans fluid. Oh and I also have to replace the driver side door handles since they snapped off this winter. >.<

..And I'm contemplating plastidipping it. Sooo many scrapes and scratches. These past 2 winters have been brutal, plus every highway in town is under construction. >.< I would like to go with either a dark grey or a red color. The only issue I have with red is that the images I see online of plastidipped red cars makes them look more pink then red. Anyone see any red plastidip jobs in the flesh? Does it look more pink or red?
