Default Metzger's '90 Bronco Build

Well I finally started a little work on the bronco and figured I wouldmake a log of all I do to it. I think ill start with what I've got in it.
Well I traded the 97 s10 that I had for the bronco, two snow plows and $200. I had about $1000 into the s10. I sold one of the plows to my wife's grandpa for $100. He helps us out a lot, that's why I sold it so cheap lol. Traded the other one for a '93 seadoo jetski. I figure I can get at least $600 from the jetski. That means I've got about a hundred bucks into this bronco haha.

Here is the first pic from the Craigslist ad:

Here is a bunch of pics of the truck and all the rust lol

Yes that's the exhaust pipe and muffler in between the seats lol. First work I did on it was the radius arm bracket. Here is the old one.

The impact couldn't take the bolts off so I had my wife's grandpa help me cut them off with a torch.

Here's the new one:

I think I'm gonna check out the steering up front next. It's got a shake up front and I gotta figure out what's causing it.

After the radius arm bracket which cost $35 I now have $135 in the bronco.

Only part of it lol. The plan is to make a new one at work. I work at a sheet metal factory and I'm either going to go with tread plate or just regular hot roll. I can get all the metal at cost, and ill form and cut it all there to. I also wanna rhino line it once I get it in.

Hahaha the 6th pic the side skirt's held on with some wire.

Same seat pattern fabric as my Ranger, lol (seats taken from a 92 Ranger Custom)

That's awesome how you you just end up trading up. Like for that S10 you got a rusty Bronco, a seadoo and $300?

Haha yeah I was thinkin about just pullin that off. My wife looked at me from the passenger side the other day and said the the one on the passenger side was falling off. I said I knew and she stomped on it fell right off haha.

When I got the bronco the guy I got it from hadn't had it long and it was actin up. It kept wanting to die then I had problems starting it to. I had my buddy over and we were looking at it with it on, and he said "look he just taped these wires together." Then he touched it and it died lol. I fixed those wires up and haven't had a problem since. I'm bettin that's why he was in so much of a hurry to get rid of it.

Well I ripped the hitch off cause it was hangin on by a thread lol. This build isn't going very well... Seems more like a disassembly. may turn into hurry up and sell it and get one with less rust.

Also took the top off the other day.

I really like that pic... Makes it look a lot nicer than it actually is.

Not bad man, the black hides the rust way better than my blue does, my blue is just super contrast with the rust.
