The "87"
Here's the best I can do from my mobile:

Just had my mechanic replace the dimmer switch and some misc dash lights so I can see the dash at night. With the exception of the cruise control, everything on the truck works. It really is in amazing shape.

New tires will be needed before it snows and then new rims and 3 season tires next spring.

Yup. FI 350 with a mild cam, all new exhaust, Posi, Silverado trim, factory AC, power windows and locks, suspensions mostly brand new, frame off resto was completed a year ago. It looks and drives like it would have fresh off the showroom floor.

That's awesome. She'll be thirsty though :D

My commute is about 5-8 miles, so I measure in smiles per gallon now ;)

Not bad! Girlfriend driving the Sonic then?

Yup, she has been for months actually. Shes put the last 20k miles on it in the last 10 months haha. Gas mileage and reliability have been a little bit more important for her.

Do you guys have any suggestions for tires for this winter?

Mike 11-06-2013 09:57 PM

You're looking for snow tires?

Bridgestone Blizzaks are the benchmark and a fine choice, my personal preference would be some Michelin Latitude X-Ice Xi2s. I've heard very good things about them and they're not terribly expensive either (even compared to the Blizzaks)

IMO Michelin makes the best tires on the road period right now.
