Default New Project: 2003 PT Cruiser GT

I got my 2003 PT cruiser GT (turbo) from my mom when she Leased a new Mazda. When I got it, it had 24,500 miles (there about). There are pics in my profile of it, but I need to get new pics from all the cosmetic problems I've caused. (Backing into neighbor, that badly placed Fence pole, you know, **** that you don't see coming). When I got it, the only add on was a Mopar Borla Cat Back Dual exhaust. In the 4 months I've had it, I've added a K&N Filter, a Garmin C330 GPS, and a Python Remote Start / Keyless Entry kit. As I get more money, I'm going to fix the car back to normal running order (brakes that work right, getting rid of the E-Brake light that doesn't shut off, Replacing my broken antenna, and getting a cover for my Intercooler since my mom ripped 2 grilles off when she curbed the front end.) My next set of addons will be Audio, followed by a Radar Detector (I have enough of a speeding problem now, wait until I add more stuff!. Look for pics when I have a Clean car

Sounds like its probably a fun car. You should look into getting a LSD if they make one for it. It will really help you get power to the ground and will change the whole feel of the car for the better.

I just looked up the Mopar LSD online, I guess theres an LSD for The Stick Shift ones but not the Automatic ones (mine). I'll call my Mopar Contact and ask, I have to see when he can squeeze me in for an Antenna replacement.. 140 bucks.. damn 90 buck an hour labor.

two more things to add to the list. My wiper blades are totally shot (they get the snow off, problem is they streak so bad that you can't see! and that I have NO E-Brake, which would give me the cause for why the light is constantly on

Well, Wiper blades got changed (I made it a lot harder than it really was) and I started changing spark plugs. I managed to get one changed no problem, but for cyl 2 and 3, I need to pull of my intake manifold as its in the way (D'oh!). I found the Mopar LSD, and its not for the Turbo models (mine) which leads me to believe its stock in the GT's. I'm in the process of cleaning out my credit cards, then I fill them right back up with new parts. This round: Screaming Demon Coil, New Jet Performance Chip, Mopar Blow off Valve conversion kit, and new LiveWire wires. 543 bucks + Shipping.

Have you checked into how strong the automatic transmissions are on those cars? Are you sure it can hold up to the extra power from a turbo upgrade?

They suck! I have driven one with 45k miles on it, actually three that work company vehicles at an old job and all three had either growing tranny problems, or had already been in the shop for transmission work....

if you mean the Mopar kit, then yes it can hold up to it. It's a Mopar part which means its been tested and it doesn't void my warranty
