Question Rebuilding Cars

Hi guys what's up, I just joined and I have a few questions. My friend and I are going to rebuild a car, but the problem is we don't have a car to rebuild, and we don't know what a cheap car we could get that is easy to sell and cheap to buy as a project car. Help is much appreciated!

Thanks!

You're going to need to give us more information on what you like, etc.

It doesn't really matter, we're just looking for a cheap fix-er-upper to make some money and then do it again but with a slightly better car, and then keep going from there.

My recommendation is to buy what is considered a quality car that needs some work rather than a car that is know as a piece of crap just because it's cheap.

After fixing the things on the quality car, you have a quality car.

After fixing things on the piece of crap car, you still have a piece of crap. It will not be reliable, it will always need fixing. It will be a money pit.

Quality car = Toyota Corolla, Toyota Camry, Honda Civic, Honda Accord and similar cars.
POC car = Intrepid/Concord, Kia, Taurus, and most Dodge products

My .02 cents

Dare I say it? I'm gonna say it.

Miata. Cheap, notoriously easy to work on, reliable, and are fun to drive.

So I don't know how much money we have altogether to spend on the car but I don't think it'll be more than 4. What should I do?

$4k is not enough to properly rebuild a car sir. Sounds like you're looking for something with a couple issues to fix, not a total restoration.

Yeah that's basically what we're looking to do, and then with the money we get from it go from there
