Default 89 civic sedan sleeper build up code named project sleeper

hey guys i just thought i would sare my sleeper build lol. yeah the car is in rough shape but i work at a shop that has a paint booth and i have access to all the things i will need to bring it back to its glory lol.

here is the history of the car. i bought the car 3 months ago as a project car it had a blown head gasket and needed a thermostat. i bought the car for 400 bucks which i think was a good price. yeah i got more than i bargained for but its ok cuz the price was right. so first thing i did was install a new head gasket and exhaust gasket and i also installed a new thermo. the car runs pretty good now except for the fact that it still smokes alittle and has a rough idel but i think that with a proper tune up it will run like a champ it also needs some new seals like distributor seal and some new orings that go around the spark plug hole lol sorry i cant remember what they are called hahaha its late and ive worked my ass off today so yeah

my plan is to build a d16a6/d15 turbo motor for the power plant and i have alot of stuff sitting around that i am going to transfer onto the car bit by bit. for example here are the parts i currently have that are waiting to go onto the car once i get around to taking them off my hatch lol.

drop zone struts
eibach sportline springs
91 crx si rear disc
ebc cross drilled rotors (front)
ebc racing compound pads front and back
a cheap set of racing seats from checker lol
crx dash and center console
crx full wiring harness
new sway bar bushings (polyurithane)
new lca, upc, and every other bushing lol

that is whats waiting to make its way onto the car. and this is the very small amount of progress i have made so far

here is a pic of the car when i first bought it

old gauge cluster

new guage cluster

new eclipse head unit and tsudo shift counter whieghted shift knob

and here are the new wheels that i took off my crx YES THEY ARE retarded THANKS FOR NOTICING

yes its rusted and i dont give a f**k but here is the car before i lower it next week

and here are the cheap ass race seats that will make their way into the car once i fab up some brackets

here is the bay after a front strut bar and yes i know that my intake is not fastend down it is a cai but i just placed it in for fitment

here is the fron suspension from my hatch that will i just installed on the car last sunday before cleaning

after cleaning (only a light one to get the grease off)

eibach baby hell yeah

here is the car after a nice little cleaning and the fron suspension instal and a diff set of rims

i have decided that with my finacial sitiation i am just going to use my jdm b16a until i can afford to build up a d series turbo

here is the b16a sir1 swap with lsd tranny

and here is my light weight flywheel act prolight 7.5 should i run it or should i sell and go back to my stock one lol that is a serious question

my plan for the motor at this point is to buy a tri y 4-1 long tube hytech replica header

im going to sell the lightweight flywheel as soon as i get the motor pulled out of my crx and im going to run the stock flywheel again for more torque lol and im going to sell the act for 100 bucks

hey guys give me your opinions on my build wheather the are good or not but i do request that honda haters stay out but i dont really care if you hate hondas and you still post

my goal for this car is not to get some sick 1/4 mile times or crazy hp i just want a really fun car that looks like it couldnt do over 60mph and then WHAM im doing a buck 30 and they are all like wtf lol

i plan on building a pretty sweet motor for it but currently i have very very limited funds due to being on medical leave for 3 months and not recieving any short term dissability money so i will worry about that when i get back to work

I'm not a big honda fan but I respect anyone who wants to actually put in the effort on any car, nice work.

thanks im entertaining the idea of putting the springs from my crx on my sedan for a heavy drop the eibchs are nice for cornering but they leave it barley lower than stock and i want it slammed i cant decide if i wanna or not i will prolly put them on and then decide what i want lol

but thanks
i am not really into domestics anymore but i appreciate all cars and especially when people do them up themselfes
