Default This be the tardmobile

Hey guys, just thought I'd post up some progress shots of my WJ ... it's nowhere near where it has to be yet .. mostly due to me having next to zero free time with work and school ... but here she is as she sits today,

If you guys frequent jeep forums you probably saw my build threads and whatnot, just thought I'd repost here .. never know whose a jeep fan.

What's done
K&N Air intake, Full Kolak 3 inch catback (with FM70, Magnaflow tip and cat, DMH 3 inch electric cutout), Quad taillight mod, Yellowtop Optima, Debadged, Wired up for amps (I took out my old crap and sold it recently, waiting to upgrade..), roofrack delete, took off the ugly window visors

Future Upgrades
Superchips tuner (adds around 20 WHP and 30 WTQ, or so they claim), High output Cams (Good for another 20-30 horsepower), SRT8 Rims off a WK (Next major upgrade), Eibach Lowering springs, Addco front and rear sway bars (May just buy rear only, front sway bar isn't such a noticeable difference), new shocks (undecided), New Stereo (I'm thinking Digital Designs 2515's and type R components), Convert all interior lights to LED, Projector retrofit with HID's, tinted tails

My goal here is just a really nice looking reliable street truck that I will daily drive, but I want it to be different ... and I want it to have some decent power behind it.

And here's a shot of my jeep's butt After debadging, I got annoyed of that stupid dealership plate cover, so I took some 400 grit sandpaper to it when I dynomatted the back of it, so now not only does it not rattle, it has a nice matte black finish.

Front Debadged

And some sideviews from my window after I debadged, washed and waxed it (I got lazy, hence the photos are taken from my bedroom LOL)

Bro's 300 and me

And a Video of my exhaust

I'm going up a really steep hill so you could hear it at a steady RPM .. I'm probably giving less than 50 percent throttle but definitely more than what you'd give if you were driving normally .... that switch I hit is wired to my cutout, and I'm going down a residential street so I really couldn't rev it up that much, but give it a look!

And I have no real performance goals, I'm hoping for a 0-60 of around 6 seconds with all my mods (what most people with a similar set up get), and a 1/4mile time somewhere around 15 seconds, other than that I have no real plans. I was hoping to get a kenne belle supercharger for it but they've been long discontinued, and are very hard to come by

Nice! A supercharger on that thing would be wicked...would you modify the engine and boost to at least 9 or 10 psi, or just run 5-6 psi stock?

Well to be honest I was considering a nitrous setup with forged internals when I heard that they no longer made the kenne belle SC for my engine, they do however make a paxton supercharger that can work, but takes a lot of custom work.

I am hoping to get the tuner put in soon enough, the cam upgrade will come sometime later on. I am still pretty unsure of what I want to do, but I do know with just a 100 shot of nitrous and decent tires I can easily be in the high 13's, many have done it before, on stock internals with no other modifications besides colder plugs.

It's a lot of money though, I'm not 100% happy with my truck's performance as it is right now, but I can live with it. I want to upgrade the exterior and suspension now though, and focus more on the engine later on. I don't see a point in adding something now that will become obsolete with my next mod, which is kind of why I'm leaning towards a very reliable and powerful N/A setup.

If I can find a decent place to port and polish my heads, I may just ship it out and be jeep-less for a few weeks, but I'm waiting until I have a lot more money so I can upgrade other stuff while I'm in there.

Jeep is a good make, not one I would de-badge. Otherwise, good buildup!

Engine shots?

And to find a supercharger kit these days that doesn't need a lot of customization is rare.

Trade that baby in on an SRT-8 One absolutely wicked AWD vehicle that sounds like a jet bomber when you launch it.

well .. my truck does sound like a jet bomber now I'm getting a better job in the summer hopefully, which means lotsa of moolah to spend on truck and other stuff.

I'm fresh out of highschool, and this build started while I was still in highschool thats why my progress is so slow.

What's new:
Overland gauges (sexy)
Overland wood steering wheel with black leather (very la-dee-dah)
.. cost an effin arm and a leg, oh well lol.
Next on the upgrade list is

Headlights
New stereo (just picked up two 2 type R 12's for $80 each, BOO YAH!)
and then the engine

still planning what will happen to the engine but so far I have
-72mm throttle body
-212 cams
-custom tune from local dyno

But, depends on how much I can save up once I get my new job, if I can save up a substantial amount I may just put buying a motorcycle on hold (that'll make the gf, parents, and pretty much everyone else happy) and get fully forged internals but that is going to cost major $$$$$

As obscene and as highly unlikely as this sounds, the ultimate goal goal for this jeep is a low 15 second 1/4 mile and a sub 6 second 0-60.

But I'm happy, this jeep is gonna be stuck with me till my bitter end lol.

I just wish school wasn't so damn demanding.
