Default Gauge pod

I'm starting a gauge pod build to cover a hole in the dash that i'm not willing to repair will post pics and update latter when I load them.

Ok first I mocked it up with card board to determine what pieces I would have to build this is what I came up with.

Hole in dash I'm covering this piece is actually part of the internal skeleton and the entire thing would have to be replaced to fix it so this is my alternative.

The legs

the skeleton

Next i'm covering it with cloth tightly to get the curves right then comes the fiberglass resin to harden it after sanding and painting it should look pretty good

she's holding 2 electric gauges and a tpms first is Volt meter second is oil pressure I'm missing these from the factory. I picked up some APC black out series gauges from a friend unused for $50 which was a steal.

Gauges

Ok a little progress was made

Used a old t-shirt to cover it

Then the Resin was applied

Now the structure is rock hard i slapped a coat of paint on it since so I could see the high and low spots before sanding and bondoing it post some pics when Bondo starts.

Here is some pics of the HO intake manifold I picked up it's ported and polished with red powder coat.

My rigs:

1985 Ford F150 | 4x2 | 300ci OHV inline six | 4-speed OD manual | 310K | No power brakes | Running 100% - It hasn't driven this good in 15 years!

1984 Ford F150 | 4x2 | 300ci six | granny four | 3.55 rear end | 210K | Brakes shot. Rear drums are doing most of the work. Not fit to drive due to that.
1997 Ford Explorer XLT | 4.0L Vulcan V6 | 5-speed automatic | shift-on-the-fly 4WD | 210,000 miles | Running 95% - Needs brakes on all four corners + bald tires
1989 Ford F150 | 300cid six...again | 5-speed | 4x4 | 160K | Needs brakes done as well. Oi!

I know a guy that thought it would look cool if he spray painted his exhaust manifold.

He seemed to forget that exhaust gets hot.

But intake should be good
