this was the best example I found of a midrange stock Dyno sheet.

the mods to the car I found so far are Poly bushings, rear poly sway bar links, cold air intake, radar detector, and I think it has a 160 degree t-stat which would mean it may have been tuned. I'm not going to get my hopes up about the tune, but the t-stat temp shold be easy to check with a scanner just havn't had time. May be he was planning a tune.

Wow, those LS2's make quite a bit of power stock. That, plus some mods and you could have a helluva quick car! And they sound amazing running through a borla exhaust system.

One thing I find funny though, is that a 2 door rwd car weighs more than my 4x4 SUV.

I actually have a big ol heavy i6, which weighs nearly as much as the 318 V8 that was offered in jeeps like mine. His GTO has an aluminum LS2, which is surprisingly light for it's size and power.

All I was saying is that I don't see where the car gains all of it's weight from. I've seen a few GTO's around here, and they aren't very big cars.

Anyways, back on topic. The engine bay shots look show car clean, so it does look like the last owner took care of the car. That's always a plus when buying a sports car. (Unless the dealer just had it cleaned. Most dealers around here don't care about how the engine bay looks)

Nice. Though, I find it hard to believe the engine that puts out 400HP and 400ft/lb of torque is making 333 at the wheels...

By the way, as a side note to keep in mind, that driver side header cover has a cut out for the fuel line and it's extremely notorious for rubbing the line and actually cutting though it. There have been a few threads on LS1GTO about guys' goat's engines literally bursting into flames on the highway. I'd take a look and either keep the covers off or cover that little portion up with another piece of tubing or thermal tape.

But welcome to the club man.

Good tip a piece of rubber should remid that. Although the clearance on the line looks great. why do you find it hard to believe? I used this one because it was a good average actually it was slightly lower then the average, but one chick even made 386/386 stock off the showroom floor with a dyno sheet to prove it, and ran a 12.7 that weekend at the track.

ya she is really wide and well built it surprised me to find he gas tank in the trunk surronded by a full roll cage and using what look to be a fuel cell. It is still 200 lighter then a GT mustang the same year and 500 lighter then a Cobra. I guess that wieght is where the aluminiun engine saves it. As for as mods I was amazed to see how much of a difference on the dyno just exhast and intake makes with this enigine. It's like they built it waiting o be woken up.

Also look at the power band on that sheet it is so flat on torque it's awesome. and the horse power just keeps climbing. From what I red just changing the intake manifold will help high RPM power since the OE one is restrictive.

Thanks Guys I want to see more of yours Twistedboi get some pics up. Did you find out about the exhaust yet?

Ya me to that as the color I wanted. I just couldn't find one at least with a 6speed. Although this was the better looking wheel option. The 18" polished was a rare option most where 17" painted or chrome or 18" painted or chrome.
