Default I've got about 6k to play with

I've got about 6k to play with and I'm looking at buying a nearly new car. Nothing too big, maybe 1.6 at most, just a wee car to get me to and from work.
Any suggestions?

Lightbulb

Here are some ideas I found in 5 minutes.

Hope they give you a few ideas on what you can get for your budget.

2008 Ford Focus Zetec 5000

2004 Jaguar X-Type 4000

Fiat Bravo 2007 Petrol Minuet Blue 8000

Mini One Hatchback 6000

Ford Mondeo 2005 Diesel 6000

2005 Honda Accord 2.2 i-CDTi 6000

2007 57 Vauxhall Meriva 1.4 7000

2006 Seat Ibiza 7000

It would be easier if we knew the area you live in and what type of car your looking into.

Topgear loves the Ford Mondeo, I'd get that.

I'm not so sure if they liked that model though - I think they were talking about the new one. Personally, I'd go with the Jag, but if you want a small car, the mini might be better

The Jag is the classiest one...
(I'm sorry, but I'm just not a mini fan...I just don't like their looks.)

Hate those things too....almost as much as those new Japan cars that look as small as damn go-karts
