I'll be the first to go. I own a 98 Cavy RS Coupe. It's red, all power, 205/60/15 tires, sunroof, diamond headlights, lightweight rims, custom CAI, NGK Platinum plugs, VSS mod, air temp sensor mod, 4 gauges in pillar pod, Panasonic head unit with graphics, 12" Sony P5 sub (was MA Audio), 800watt Pioneer amp and Sony speakers all throughout. Lots of other little things but thats for latter as well as pictures.

I have a cavalier, totally different to the ones you have in the states, ive done a bit to it but i now have the dilemma wether to break it or not,it was 1800cc when i got it,it now has a 2500cc v6 engine running a standard 200bhp but is spose to be coming out of the car for full re-build.cavalier gotta be good no matter what shape or style or country, they are well worthy of the name

Thumbs down 2004 Cavalier Sedan Forest Green

My wife had an 04 Cavalier which isnt hooked up at all so maybe that wouldnt be the best car to represent Cavaliers, but I cant see it as that hot of a car. I see that theyre mediocre looking and performing at best. The cobalt isnt much better either. I'd rather go for a dodge srt-4 if I was looking for an american sport coupe under $20k. Atleast it has a turbo and 4 doors.

I have fixed a few that belong to friends and my GF. watch out for the famouse disapearing serpantine pulley. It is right under the left motor mount. I tried for 2 hours to get the serp belt to fit then realised it was missing a stupid pulley. the guy at the checker auto said that he has picked up two for a song missing the same pulley and turned them around for 100% profit.

i'd go for the cobalt ss supercharged over the srt 4. the neon's tranny isn't all that great. (on the basic model) the ss and srt 4 only have a 5 hp diff. i believe. (the srt 4 has 205 and the ss has 200) and as it stands right now, my cavalier will stay with an srt 4, but not a ss cobalt. and my cavalier is still NA as of right now. the rs (my model) and z24 models are very nice cars for the price and performance, especially with the z 24 model that has the 2.4 in it. also, i don't like the new body stile on the cavaliers. i like the prev. style. the one that was last on the 02's and mid-late 90's.

Actually the 2004-2005 SRT-4s were rated at 230 hp and 245 foot pounds of torque and dyno testing has actually proven that they were significantly underrated from the factory since most are putting out almost those exact same figures to the wheels. Also those SRT-4s have gone through the quarter mile at 13.9 bone stock whereas the fastest I have seen in a review of the SS is a 14.5 stock.

i was just pulling those figures from memory. hadn't looked up the specs recently. sorry bout that. but that being said, i still love my car, think it looks nice the way i have it and am very satisfied with it's performance.

Smile 2002 chevy cavalier

I have a 2002 chevy cavalier I want to unload. This car runs like a dream, I even drove it to Alaska and back (stayed for 5 months). The water pump died at something like 68k but that was the biggest issue. How hard will it be to sell this thing? Or should I break it apart and sell it spare part by spare part?

why do you want to get rid of it if its been a good car? on topic though, it shouldn't be hard to sell it. they're pretty popular cars that don't cost much to maintain and run.
