Yep.

Rep is just a method of showing/giving recognition to the members of the forums who have done a good job helping you or somebody else.

So what's the difference between 'Rep' ans 'Rep Power'?

Rep - its what you give me for answering your question so well. Its what you give someone for helping you.

Rep power - its the amount of rep you have received from various other users on this site, and its listed under your name and avatar.

uhh.... what pbasil? rep power is the number of rep you give somebody every time you "rep" them. it used to increase with the number of rep you have (at least on OCN) but i'm not sure if it ever does here. so if you answered a question of a person with more rep, you would get say, 2 rep, from them because you helped a helpful person.

yeah, kinda confusing. would make more sense if rep power actually went up.

It does.... I for example have been given rep 35 times, so for that, my rep is 45 because everyone starts with a rep count of 10.

no, your rep power is still one though. remember on OCN when you got more rep, your rep power would go up, son instead of giving out one rep point, you would give two or three (or 30-something for the big guys) rep points everytime you gave someone rep.
