So apparently a new Motorola Docsis 3.0 modem fixed my computer locking issue and my router dropping out issue. I have no idea how. I suspect it has something to do with the amount of channels it's capable of, but I really don't understand that nor did I take the time to learn how that works. Either way the Scientific Atlanta Modem I had was complete crap I was running it because My Dlink one burnt out, but apparently it was still 2.0 anyway I didn't know about 3.0 when I bought the Dlink a few years back.

I suspect the NIC. Asset management shipped us some computers out of the norm, and our network really hates those NICs. We had to pull them off the floor within days of deploying them.
