Unhappy 1995 riviera problems after changing harmonic balencer

Hey guys so i was having a problem with my haonic balencer and finally got to replace it yesterday. But what had happened first was we installed the new one but not compleatly on the keyway slot and the car wouldnt start.
We finally got it the keyway in the slot of the new balencer and the car starts now but it drives relly relly rough. I have no clue whats going on.
The rough vinrations happen when i first give it gas either in reverse or drive.
I have not noticed any wobble in the balencer.
Someone please save me!

iirc crank sensor is there and balancer actuates it, by gaps on the edge, see if you did not knock that sensor out of alignment. or damaged it.
also did you get oem ac delco balancer, or some aftermarket part? is your check engine light is on?

i have seen aftermarket balancers that had "teeth" that would not match position of the balancer that we removed from the car, either it was not labeled correctly(wrong year\model) or it was just a crappy part. see if all the teeth are in exactly the same position as on the old one, also i assume you used puller\pusher to remove\ install it, and it is not too close, or too far from the sensor.

Well we looked at the part before we installed it and it looked exactly the same. Unfortunatly i didnt use a puller or pusher. I used a tool to hammer the old one off and then i got the other one and lined it up and use a drill to tighten it in place. And it was an aftermarket part i got at orilleys. It could be too close. Il take it off and look at the parts again and take some pictures. I know we did somthing wrong. Il go get a puller and pusher tool from autozone

Edit: il try to losen it up a bit to see if that helps. Il try to align it with the other pullys

see if all teeth are same width and height, with aftermarket parts you can never be sure 100%. see if none is bent, and sensor is not damaged,
in our shop when it came to electrical parts we always recommended oem parts, too many issues with aftermarket garbage. we did tell customers you try cheap part, but if it doe snot work, you'll have to pay for new part and labor again. at the end it came out to even more than buying oem part in a first place,

Okay so im back at it with the harmonic balencer i got my removal kit i jist need to get my bolts to thread into the balencer. So when i looked at it i noticed that at idle and low rpms the pully wobbles a bit but streightens out at higher rpms. Could this be because the balencer wasnt installed streight? Im going to try and take it off and re install it but allign it better.
