Default Fried tires, bumpy ride...

I have a 2004 Mitsubishi Galant ES 4cyl.

Symptoms include back tires going bald quick, bumpy ride, shaky steering wheel and a the back end feels like its "swaying." I replaced the rim and it got a little better.. however the car is still making a thumping noise. Struts? Shocks? Sway bar? Help..

Gonna have to be more specific.

Are the tires wearing evenly? It's an econobox, ride is gonna be bumpy. Shaky steering wheel could be bad alignment, unbalanced wheels, etc. Does it do it all the time or only when braking?

Take it in to get a 4-wheel alignment. And buy some good tires.
