Notorious on Odysseys. These are the transmission problems you've heard about probably.

Check fluid level and color for starters to get the easy stuff out of the way.

Guess that code is the internal code of death for 1998 to 2008 Honda Odysseys. I do have a warranty that if they should cover it I would be left paying $344($100 deductible+$244 in sales tax). If they find a way to wiggle out of it then I owe $2800.

Gets worse....warranty company wants the tranny torn down to find the vault, which will be another $400 on me. So right now if they put in a new transmission I will be out $750(deductible, sales tax, tear down). Oh if they find something that lets them skip out on fixing it, then I owe $100 deductible+$400 for tear down and have a van with no transmission. Also the warranty company refuses to take the word of a highly rated shop that has been in business since 1979. So after the transmission is torn down the warranty company will send their own person out in 3-7 business days to confirm their report.

Cool thing....warranty company has held things up so long that as of today, the transmission has been in pieces for 2 full days waiting for an inspector from the warranty company. Who might show up today or Wednesday of next week....or any time in between. Then once they show up, the transmission gets fixed in 3 days.....after approved lol....they said approval might take 3-5 more days after inspector looks at it and submits findings.
