isnt Acura the american part of honda so it should be under american thread

Lol... no. Its the luxury line of Honda..., just like Infinity and Nissan, or Lexus and Toyota.

We would have to move lexus as well. Just because it is a american market car does not mean it is an American car. Thanks for the input though.

I believe Acura/Lexus/etc. are just assembled in America, they're still Japanese when you break it down. Although I'm a little curious as to why some Acuras (my 01 TL) have an American vin number, but others such as the RSX have a Japanese vin number, I think that might cause some confusion.

Same thing applies for VW's. Some VINs are from Mexico, and the rest from Germany; hence, the term Wolfsburg.

They are still European
