Default Will This Work?

Hi i have an 05 impala, i would like to make it push to start without having to spend $500 i know there are multiple wires from my ignition. So if i was to take the power wire and wire it to a togle switch and a button, would i just wire the togle switch to all the other wires except for the starter wire. and wire the button to the starter wire. Im not sure what all the other wires are. Would they get the constant power when the togle switch is on, please let me know if this would work. Thanks.

As far as my knowledge is you can't push start an automatic.(I say my knowledge because there seems to be crazy things that people can do with computer controlled cars)

Yes it would work. Try not to cross wires though or you'll have a headache

It won't work, you'd have to still insert the key because of PATS, you'd still need to turn it to run....

I dont believe that it has the PATS system though i could be wrong, but its is just a key it doesent seem to have a security fob at the end. Its an ex police car, its and all metal regular key, not sure if that makes a difference or not. Im half tempted to just give it a shot, but im pretty sure it would be pricey if i screw something up, and i obviously dont want to spend alot of money or i would just go to a pro, but let me know what you think. THANKS
