Default Kind of pissed!

I just purchased my 06 Cobalt SS Supercharged today and I go to play some pool and darts with my friends. As we are leaving there is some punk stupid wanksta white kid trying to be black with a somewhat decent late 90's stock BMW 325I (nothing to scream about). I was letting my friend test out my car and as we start pulling away the stupid kid yells something like "that is the gayest car ever". Made me a little upset, at least thats what I thought he said, the windows were rolled down.

People can be rude for just no reason sometimes.

Yup people are stupid. The whole thing about cars is that people get a false sense of security while in one. When I had my 92 Integra I used to get flashed all the time because people thought the high beams were on. If you dont know the 90-93 integra then let me explain. The headlights are wide and standard beam has 2 lit on each side 4 total. So one day this stupid lady in a BMW [Hmmm bimmer owners are [A-holes I guess][sorry adam] starts flashing me. I ignore her. She gets in fron of me and then starts to slow down so I try to pass her. she then gets behind me real close and with her high beams on. So I get over and she does the same. So I get ticked off and pulled over she flys by honking. So I decided its time to show her my brights. So I speed up and start flashing my brights and then leave them on. Then she heads on the freeway and starts getting hostile. So I signal her to pull over. and she sped away. I just wanted to show her that I wasn't using my brights. My del sol has aux lights in front and sometimes I drive with them on because my trip home from work is a long dark unlit road. and this same crap happend again a few months ago. With a Older BMW. Another woman as well. Crazy I tell you. They are all Crazy.

Thanks for the reply man, I'm not going to let it get me down. I wish people could respect other peoples cars just a little more.

On a brighter note, that Cobalt SS is a blast to drive around, definitely going to have to throw on a Cold air intake so I can hear the supercharger. I plan on throwing a smaller sc pulley, bigger injectors, and a reprogrammed computer in there as well. It will be just like my old GTP!! But with a manual transmission!!!

Congrats on the Cobalt SS! I have to say I'm kind of impressed with the Cobalt overall. My wife has the base model with an auto, and it's still got some kick to it, and the handling is nothing less than shocking for a base model econo-box. There are a few things I don't like... some really cheap parts inside, like the shifter button breaking after only a month, and the A/C has started to drip inside on the passenger side. Minor flaws, but flaws they could have fixed before production.
Overall, it's been a damn good car. Here's hoping yours will be just as reliable, if not a bit more fun

Thanks! I'm hoping it will perform well down the road (no pun intended). I think I am going to order the Eibach Sportline springs to make it look a little more clean and the AEM cold air intake so I can once again hear supercharger whine (like in the old GTP). Later on I will probably do the other mods I mentioned in the post before, but right now I gotta bring my credit card back down, especially since I'm moving out into an apartment finally. Living at home through college does have its advantages though!

Just make sure your shocks will hold the higher spring rates. If not the shocks will go down hill fast and so will your ride quality. You really want to match shocks/springs well.

I hate it when people cut me off. I cut into peopele's path sometimes, but I know I can get to 40+ MPH no prob. Anyways, I was flying down my neighborhood street (I know, I know). It wasn't the one with houses and kids all over, it was sorta a main street. Well, I was going like 55+ with everybody else on a 35. This guy in a newer truck pulls a left in front of me while I'm like 60 some feet away! Who the hell taught this guy to drive? Unfortunately, my highs don't work. So... I passed him while honking the horn and I barely made it. I purposely did it though. Never saw the guy come close to me.

Koni is about to roll out some performance adjustable shocks for the J body so I might get some of those down the road, till then most of the people on the other forums say that the Sportline springs are the way to go. I can't wait to get it lowered, it just looks a little funky at the stock ride height.
