Default Im gonna buy a new steering wheel!

I have extremely long legs and my new car, well kinda new, i have been driving me mams focus for a while but now ive saved up enough to get on my polo...Anyway i have very long legs and the seat wont lower and the steering wheel is as high as it will go and i cant fully touch the break, like i can only hit the corner of the break, so if an emergency was in place i cant actually slam the breaks hard coz i cant get my knee round to do so as its being blocked by the bottom bit of the steering wheel.

I figured a lower new seat would be like £250-£300 so i was looking at small steering wheels (racing wheels) e.g

And they were selling them off at my local store, there not going to do them again and they were like £100-£150 and now at £35!!

Thing is i have no idea what fitting will cost??? a lot??

The question is (after babbling for hours) is, is it easy to fit? can someone who knows little about cars do it?

Thanks a lot!
-Chris

For most cars, you gotta get a steering wheel puller...one that is designed specifically for your car make...my brother installed a new one in his F-150 a while back, and seems to me he didn't have too bad of a time doing it after he got the old one off.

My dad had this old Fiat Uno lol it was 0.9 litre, well in that all you had to is pull out the centre of the wheel and undo the bolt on the steering column, I dont have a clue with air bag wheels

Sorry for off-topic, but 0.9 Liter engine?! WTF?! My truck has a 2.4 Liter, and it's older, most likely.

Ok thanks guys, I'm guessing its not that hard and no i don't have a air bag wheel so no problems there.
Its just i couldn't find an online tutorial so either very hard or pretty easy to figure out (common sense)

Well, if you find a wheel puller designed for your model car, i'm sure it'll have some instructions on how to put a new wheel on. Or else the new wheel that you buy will have instructions.

Well it was probably the same age lol

But Sin100 just pull the center of the wheel out and bolt the new boss onto the column
