Default 03 Lincoln Town Car Picture Log

So I figured why not post up some pictures and start a general log for my new car. I always do.

The car:
03 Lincoln Town Car Signature - Panther platform
4.6 SOHC Modular V8 - 239 HP, 287 lb-ft
RWD, open 3.23 gears - 8.8 Rear axle
Equipped with nearly every option available

The car is so quiet that at 70mph on the highway I can honestly whisper something to the person in the passenger seat and they can hear me clearly. I mean that as the same level as if there were a sleeping person between myself and a passenger.

Pictures:

Showing my average FE in the city so far. Also, I love the gauge cluster, but no tach? Mmpff.

Save the negativity guys, I don't want to hear it.

I'm digging it. You should start a gas mileage project see what it takes to average 30 mixed driving. Some weight reduction, new tune, open up the exhaust a little, and intake. I bet that big hoss car could do it.

I agree, I think with some basic stuff I could see mid 20's in the city and 30's on the highway. There are so many performance parts available for the 2V 4.6 it's unreal. Used 4.6 mustang prochargers regularly sell for under $1500 on the 'stang forums and with some small modifications will bolt up to my motor. ECU tuning and injectors/MAF sensors are easy as well, you just borrow parts from the lightning guys.

Want to know something I find funny? My car isn't all that much heavier than an auto Mustang GT convertible with all of its options tacked on. The 'stang could even end up being heavier if the owner installs a stereo system.

Mike - Nope, no sunroof. I hate them. They leak, and they steal precious headroom away from me.

Edit: I just checked my diff tag and it reads 2L22, meaning I think have a factory limited slip, along with x.22 rear gears. I didn't think they typically went down to 2.22's?

This is absolutely awesome, no hate here! I love a good, big American luxury car. It will make an excellent sleeper

None of ours have ever leaked?

Oh ya they did not very fast at all but the right stuff is there. Like I said the major difference in the police package is the 3.73 gear

Nope on the ...stuff. The funny thing is that in person I look very young, and I'm driving an 80 foot long car with dark tinted windows.

The car basically has a mustang engine and ECU, so parts, knowledge, and tuning is readily available. I have a picture on my phone i will upload later of my hypermiling efforts. I was getting low 20's city with some effort. More should be possible.
