Default Underappreciated Motors/Cars?

Wondering what you guys see as some very underrated/underappreciated cars.

I'll start before Conner comes in yelling MN12

GM 3.5L LX5 "Shortstar". Excellent motors, none of the northstar head gasket problems, easy to get big power out of, and love to rev. Too bad they only ever made it into the Intrigues.

Chevrolet Corvette ZR-1 (C4). Absolutely phenomenal machines for the time, but nobody knows about them

The GM 4.3 V6. It's a 350 minus two cylinders, and many people junk them in favor of a typical 350.

I loved mine in my old beast. 255K and it ran beautifully. It ran better than the 31k mile LK5 4 cyl in my old colorado.

Any domestic OHV I6. All of them, Chev 250/292, Ford 240/300, Chrysler 225, AMC 4.0L, all of them stunningly reliable, long lived torque factories.

My rigs:

1985 Ford F150 | 4x2 | 300ci OHV inline six | 4-speed OD manual | 310K | No power brakes | Running 100% - It hasn't driven this good in 15 years!

1984 Ford F150 | 4x2 | 300ci six | granny four | 3.55 rear end | 210K | Brakes shot. Rear drums are doing most of the work. Not fit to drive due to that.
1997 Ford Explorer XLT | 4.0L Vulcan V6 | 5-speed automatic | shift-on-the-fly 4WD | 210,000 miles | Running 95% - Needs brakes on all four corners + bald tires
1989 Ford F150 | 300cid six...again | 5-speed | 4x4 | 160K | Needs brakes done as well. Oi!

Ahh I love the AMC 4-oh.

My buddy's jeep has one, over 260k miles, and it ran with nearly zero oil and it still runs, and maintains good oil pressure.

Agreed with Kenny:

As far as underappreciated motors and cars...

I will probably think of more, but I will suggest the Ford 400 V8. Similar power and torque to the 460 but with better fuel economy and less weight. Based on Cleveland parts so its easy to build into a monster but people forget about them because they were smog motors and weren't around for very long due to the Jimmy Carter CAFE standards taking effect in 1982. I want to build me one of these:
