Default Backfire

Hello - I have 2005 Corolla and it backfired the other morning. This is the 1st time this has happened. It was a frigid morning. Is this something I should be concerned about, and do you recommend I take it in to have it looked over? The guy at Mr. Tire suggested I should.

FYI - New to the forum and I have no auto mechanic skills.

Welcome! I would say do a basic tuneup and that should help assuming something more serious like a fuel problem isnt going on. Get some new plugs and wires, and clean the throttle body with some throttle body cleaner. Then it would be smart to drop a bottle of fuel treatment in the tank too.
