Default Next Car Purchase

Should I buy a Subaru Impreza 2.0i 2012 or Mustang V6 2012? It snows in Toronto alot.

Subaru in the snow, hands down. Plus V6 Mustang = wimpy Mustang.

Mustangs, and I know this first-hand, are absolutely awful in the snow. I love Ford, but if you want somthing that's both fun in the dry and good in the snow, a Suby is miles ahead.

1985 Ford F150 | 4x2 | 300ci OHV inline six | 4-speed OD manual | 310K | No power brakes | Running 100% - It hasn't driven this good in 15 years!

1984 Ford F150 | 4x2 | 300ci six | granny four | 3.55 rear end | 210K | Brakes shot. Rear drums are doing most of the work. Not fit to drive due to that.
1997 Ford Explorer XLT | 4.0L Vulcan V6 | 5-speed automatic | shift-on-the-fly 4WD | 210,000 miles | Running 95% - Needs brakes on all four corners + bald tires
1989 Ford F150 | 300cid six...again | 5-speed | 4x4 | 160K | Needs brakes done as well. Oi!

This shouldn't even be a question considering where you live. AWD >>>>> RWD in the snow.

Lautin, i know that, but it still sounds like a V6, and it still IS a V6.

Faster than a V8 in the twisties unless you spend M3 prices. All that V8 weight makes them pushy, and if you're spending 60 grand you might as well buy the BMW.

V8 mustangs are for people who want a muscle car, V6 mustangs are for people who want a sports car and want to order Detroit.

I hate to sound like my avatar but that live axle just makes that impossible. I'm not saying the V8 mustangs handle bad, they're certainly quite nimble and are incredibly fun to drive, but that live axle in the back and the V8 weight up front....well, put it this way: M3 is higher up the TG board than the V8 Mustang.
