The factory dodge stereo does not have rca connectors on it. I don't know about the factory amplifier however. I never have got ambitious enough to get under the dash of my truck and find out. If your amp has speaker or high level inputs on it you can wire those directly into the factory speaker wires, and the amp will pull it's signal off that.

There are no rca outs on the back of the radio, or on the factory amp. Factory amps always use high level inputs. You can find the remote wire at the back of the radio, which a volt meter will help you find... Most decent amps will have a high level input on them, so you can just splice into the outputs on the back of the factory radio...

But really the best way to go about it, is installing an aftermarket radio, which will give you much better sound quality.

My Dodge has the factory stereo in it and aftermarket speakers and an amp. It has RCA into the amp. I haven't bothered to look at the back of the head unit though because I haven't needed to.

The amp is aftermarket? If so it may have some RCA through-puts on it and you could hook your rca's into it. Otherwise the is a high-level line converter somewhere, which is what you well need to buy another of and use to give a signal to the sub amp.

the line output converters might be an easier option to go with.... just make sure you get a ground loop isolator too so you dont get that nasty whining noise

My stock Nissan (1986) HU had RCA outs on it... Why can't a newer Dodge??
