Does anybody else turn their heads whenever they see a Ford Mustang roll by? I swear I cannot get over it..There's just something about the lines..

'95 era ones are ugly.

I just can't take any of them seriously when going round turns, though. And the 4.6L ones don't sound good easily. And i scoff at the DOHC new 302.

DOHC new 302 wipes the floor with any Chevy short of the ZL1.

Fox/SN95 Mustangs take turns better than F-bodies ever did.

I dont like how common they are, but thats the reason I own a rare one. There are only 144 fully loaded 2004 Mustang GTs with the 40th Anniversary Package, the V8 and the manual, in the world. You see quite a few SN95s but never the same color as mine, and never with as many options.

Agree for the most part the coyote is a beast, and ford has a well design platform when it comes to handling even with a solid axle, but don't know about any Chevy comment. We have 04 GTO's running neck for neck with the new mustangs dependent on what rear gear they have. 05-06 are winning more then 50% stock for stock, but the stock Mustang ecu just has to many grannies built in, remove a few and it's a faster car. If the new Camaro just wasn't so damn heavy it would be winning more then loosing.

The GTO is a great car and I put that in an entirely different category. The dealership was asking $24k for the one I test drove and it was only a year newer than my Mustang with only 15,000 less miles than my Mustang when I bought it for $10k. The GTO is a superior car to mine and I would have traded my Mustang in a heartbeat if it wasnt for the price difference, the vague shifter and the steering wheel that brushed on the steering column when turning (wtf quality control GM?). I admire that the GM cars use a more proper suspension design and the 2004 GTO wipes the floor with my 2004 Mustang and its 1978 Fairmont Fox suspension.

I still like my Mustang for what it is though, a reasonably fast (0-60 in 5.4), reasonably fun to drive, cheap, well built car. Its a great boulevard bruiser and Friday night car. Its fun to kill the traction control and hoon in parking lots, stoplight to stoplight, and swinging the ass end around every once in a while. It doesn't handle that badly as long as you are expecting tire grip over suspension compliance from the beginning. If I want to go carve a canyon I'll grab the 'bird keys instead. I like and respect each of my cars for what they are.

I admire what Ford has done with their solid axle and I commend them for engineering a solid axle that competes with the best independent stuff GM and Chrysler have to offer.

I also scold GM and Chrysler for failing to make an independent suspension that's any better than what Ford had over 20 years ago in its grand touring cars. I scold Ford for killing off the development of the MN12 and DEW98 platforms (Jaguar still uses the MN12/DEW98 underpinnings, they were a good engineering base) and relying on old tech like the 90s Mazda and Volvo platforms that underpin the Fusion and Taurus. I would have much rather seen how much performance they could have if they had put the development money towards the MN12/DEW98 platforms that they deserved. It would beat the pants off of their own solid axle, and the 90s European IRS systems of GM and Chrysler.

I realize the coyote is a high performing motor, but they shouldn't have gone DOHC.

Funny how you trash talk your own Mustang until someone else does, then you defend it to the death.

In 2001, every test i've seen puts the F-bodies well ahead of the Mustang. Mustang is rated high for power, LS1 and LT1 were rated quite low. F-bodes turn better and are more confidence inspiring, Mustang is more comfortable.

I have to post this. I just find something about this ad very comical. (No Ford Mustang can do this.)

No Ford mustang has a T-Top. It's a factual statement.
