Default Toyota echo

Why do people hate on them so much? They are fun as hell to drive. I may end up buying one as a first car as they get awesome MPG and are reliable as hell.
I wouldn't call it slow either, I've driven one and they definitely have some decent acceleration. You can whip one around like a go cart on turns, it is just incredibly fun. Why the hate?

That's like asking why people hate Priuses, or Yarises, or Tercels.

I'm almost certain you're the only one who has ever called one fun to drive and fast.

Drive a Volvo S60R.
Then drive a Jeep Cherokee.
Then drive a Ford Focus.
Then drive a Ford F250.
Then drive a Nissan Altima.
Then drive a Suburban.
Then drive the Echo.

You will see what we see.

I've driven new cars, I've been using a 2012 Mitsubishi RVR for the past 6 months.

No comment on that, I haven't got clue what a Mitsubishi RVR is.

It handles pretty well, much better than a Echo, but I don't have too many complaints about echos to be honest. I probably wont end up getting one though, I will just wait for a car that I truly like, or at least something I like in the next month.

There is no hate for the Toyota Echo. Nor the Tercel or Elantra, etc. They're commuter cars. There is no hate for it; there just isnt praise of its sporting ability; mostly because their sporting ability is dwarfed by actualy sports cars.
