Default new here need some advice

hey guys, my names Dakota. i am glad to be here. i need some insight. i am going to be buying a car in the next couple of months. i am going to spend about 3500 bucks. i am having another child so i will have two kids on who is 2 1/2 and the other will be born in may. i currently drive a saturn sl2 as my wife does to. we are going to get rid of hers and get a bigger car. so my question is what is the overall best car to get. needs to be a little bigger than the sl2 . needs to be a car that parts aren't to hard to get and preferably isn't to hard to work on. i am in auto tech so fixing stuff doesn't bother me. all help is appreciated. thanks guys.

What type of vehicle are you looking into? Still a sedan car? Are you open to CUVs or SUVs?

Choosing a car would be best choice in terms of price, fuel economy, performance and many other things; but sometimes you just need more space. Would a sedan be enough space to carry your family plus all the necessary luggage you'd bring along?

search craigslist for toyota or honda minivans or SUVs. with 3500 to spend, that'd be the only logical thing to do in my eyes. 3500 can only buy you old american trash cars or reliable and practical japanese cars
