Places to post your car for sale?
Working on selling my 2003 Golf GL. Currently posted to Craigslist... how often do you usually re-post your car when you're selling on CL?
I've also posted it to CarGurus. Autotrader costs money, so unless someone particularly recommends it I'll have to pass.

I never look on anything but craigslist. Can't beat it. Cheap and simple.
ebay is good for rare or expensive cars. I'd repost it every week or two.

Yea, thats what I figured. I was just surprised how quickly my post got buried -- check back 5 minutes after posting and its already hundreds deep.
Oh well, some guy just called me earlier and is interested. I'm more or less the only Golf in my area.

It gets buried really fast if your looking through all the cars but when you have narrowed down your search criteria, generally its not to bad. I only use Craigslist. eBay costs to much and I learned that the hard way lol. Sold a little over a thousand dollars worth of stuff on eBay and about a month later I saw over a hundred dollar charge from eBay on my checking account. And that was during a free listing promo. Not doin that again!

I don't know how it is over there in the U.S. but in Canada, Kijiji is very popular.
They're also made by the owners of eBay. |
