Post I am a student looking for people interested in Cars for a survey

Hello! Thank you for taking the time to read this and not banning me for asking. I am a high school student assigned witht the task of designing a new Car for Scion as a school project.

For our project, every group needs a MINIMUM of 100 people between the ages of 16 - 25 to complete the survey

I feel like everybody who visits this site enjoys cars and are interested in cars, so I feel like this was a good spot to post it.

the Survey:

Thank you so much, this is very helpful!

"sports car" isn't a shape of car. An M3 is (usually) a coupe, but you'd be mental for not calling it a sports car.

Your survey contradicts itself:

Please realized that any surveys by people who are older than 16 and younger than 25 will be invalid for us.

How old are you? Anybody older than 25 or younger than 16 cannot take this survey, because it will be invalid.
Do your part to increase minivan population, go bareback...its more fun anyways!

Or feel free to drive that SUV and argue its not just a raised station wagon....jus sayin.

Loaded question. I ignore advertising outright. Advertising actually makes me less likely to buy that product on the basis that it was shoved down my throat and I was annoyed.

What is the activity you will be doing most often with your car? If you were to buy a brand new car, what will you be doing with it most often?
  • Traveling
  • Getting a more modern car
  • Getting friends, family, and myself around
  • Driving to Work or Collage
This should have a "Leisure" and "racing" option as well. If I buy a car it definitely isn't for any of those things, my F150 does the daily grind just fine. No, I'd buy a car because I want to carve corners, because I want to hear the V8 screaming while pinning me to the seat...I want a car for fun. I know I'm not the only one who thinks that way as well, many people already have a reliable daily driver and want to buy another car purely for fun.

My rigs:

1985 Ford F150 | 4x2 | 300ci OHV inline six | 4-speed OD manual | 310K | No power brakes | Running 100% - It hasn't driven this good in 15 years!

1984 Ford F150 | 4x2 | 300ci six | granny four | 3.55 rear end | 210K | Brakes shot. Rear drums are doing most of the work. Not fit to drive due to that.
1997 Ford Explorer XLT | 4.0L Vulcan V6 | 5-speed automatic | shift-on-the-fly 4WD | 210,000 miles | Running 95% - Needs brakes on all four corners + bald tires
1989 Ford F150 | 300cid six...again | 5-speed | 4x4 | 160K | Needs brakes done as well. Oi!

Default Thanks for taking the survey!

I'm verys surprised at all the responses, thanks very much!

Sorry I'm not very car savvy. I hardly got as much information as the general public. I appreciate you taking the time to comment though and correcting me.
