Default Mom's XC70 exhaust issue

So my mom hit a pothole with the right-front tire of her ***V70. Car seemed okay but she definitely heard a kinda nasty bump, which isnt surprising.

She noticed when she started the car up this morning that some of the exhaust was now coming out from the center of the car rather than the back.

I suspect it's probably a crack in the exhaust or something that's opened up as a result of that pothole -- pretty simple fix at any muffler or exhaust shop.

Would you guys agree with that diagnosis?

No, unfortunately I'm halfway across the country from her so I can't take a look at it myself. She's too old to be doing something like that herself as well.

I'll ask her to find someone to do so.

Here's a few images. First one shows where the general area is, it has the light shining on it. Second is what she thinks is the issue. Anyone know what that part is?

I tried searching images of that and/or a muffler, but none of them have those perforations you can see.

Yeah, she actually crawled down there herself so that's the best she could do. I'll see if I can have someone get a better look.

Either way she's gonna need to take it in to a shop, I hope it's not the cat though. That won't be cheap.
