Default Audi A3

I'm thinking of buying an Audi A3 sportsback, since I am not in a hurry to buy one right now I did some research online if I should wait if a new model is soon to arrive. I live in the US and I found out that the 2014 A3 sportsback won't be sold in the US but the A3 sedan will, there's also the 2015 A3 sportsback G-Tron which will be sold in the US but that won't be till about a year from now. So I suppose it's not a bad idea to buy one now since no new models will be coming out soon. My dad got ripped off with the car he bought since a few months later a newer version came out so I guess that's why I'm a bit paranoid with this.

However, while looking at my local Audi dealer, they don't have the A3 in stock and since I live in Hawaii, we only have one Audi dealership. The closest Audi dealership that has is, is the Beverly Hills, CA store. I've read about car swapping but it's usually within state, how will this work for me? About how much will the extra charge be?
